Parents and Children: United Stand Against Drugs Abuse
Project Approved in 2010 (R1)
This territory-wide project aims to provide comprehensive anti-drug education to lower primary school students and parents. Students will be provided with health and drug education programmes. The grantee will enhance parents’ awareness of youth drug abuse problems and help them conduct drug educations at home by increasing their knowledge and skills to deliver preventive messages.

The grantee will reach out to at-risk youth at night and provide on-spot drug education in small groups. The purpose is to influence the participants’ group norm and encourage them to quit drugs. The grantee will also provide drug counselling in boys’ and girls’ homes / hostels, youth college and probationers in groups.
LiFE CHOICE

To prevent teenage non-users from experimenting with drugs, the grantee will design a new programme to enhance secondary school students’ ability to make right choice. Through participation in a competitive game, student will learn life skills and gain awareness of the consequences of poor decisions in life. Tailor made preventive programme and web-based support will be provided to students, teachers and parents.
Gen-YOU Net
Project Approved in 2010 (R1)
This project targets primary and secondary school students in Tai Po and North District and develops a digital communication channel for young students, which includes a web-portal and a 3D virtual community. The web-portal will incorporate information and online resources for students, teachers, social workers and NGOs, whereas the 3D virtual community will provide an online environment for comfortable sharing between young people and virtual mentors.
Drug-Free Net - South Asians' Trans-Medium Family, School, & Community Anti-drug Education Project

South Asians who reside in New Territories West, such as Nepalese, Pakistanis and Indians are the targets of the project. The grantee will spread anti-drug messages to ethnic minorities through Facebook applications, school talks, parenting skill workshops, volunteer training and community publicity campaigns. The Facebook applications will include online psychological tests to assess members' level of risk to abuse drug and practical information on family therapy. A life journey simulation game to highlight the consequence of drug abuse will be made as well.
Health School Campaign

Activities of this school-based project comprise an anti-drug poster competition, game stalls, anti-drug talks for parents, class-based activities, debate and quiz competitions and visits to Drug InfoCentre.
A Healthy Generation

The grantee will organise a series of activities for students, teachers and parents to improve their awareness and knowledge about drugs. Activities include peer ambassador training, anti-drug quiz, cross-boundary parenting workshops, drama shows for students and parents, web portal with anti-drug information, adventure trainings, movie production training and visits to drug treatment and rehabilitation centres.

A three-day F.1 bridging programme, parent talks and groups, anti-drug talks for students, drama and display board design competitions, growth and experiential programmes and curriculum-based anti-drug activities will be organised by the school.

Primary and secondary students across the territory will benefit from this project. Anti-drug messages will be spread through drama workshops, theatre and scenarios which all will stimulate students' active participation in discussion, interactive role-playing and experience sharing.

This publicity programme aims to spread anti-drug messages through magic shows among secondary schools in different districts. Magic workshops will be held to train interested students for performance of 10-minute magic-cum-drama shows. Resilience, self-efficacy and positive thinking will be emphasised during the training. Interested students will be invited to participate in a magic show contest.
