This project aims at promoting drug free lifestyle among Men having sex with Men (MSM) population and to facilitate MSM drug abuser’s motivation to quit drugs. Project elements include peer counsellor (volunteer) training, professional training for frontline staff and social workers, guided tour to drug rehabilitation centres for MSMs, anti-drug educational videos for general public, physical and internet outreaching services for MSM, individual counselling and assessment sessions for MSM drug abusers, medical assessment and treatments services for MSM drug abusers, CF Care programme for MSM and development of anti-drug booklet and promotional kits for MSM.

FMSHK Experts Working Together to Combat Substance and Drug Abuse Training Programme

This project aims at sharing updated knowledge and experience among different medical, nursing and allied health professionals for early detection of hidden substance and drug abusers and advocating effective ways of making young people stay away from drugs. Project elements include a whole day symposium on the topics (i) The sign and symptoms of different substance and drug abuse; (ii) The different ways for early detection and diagnosis of substance and drug abuse; (iii) How to recognise and manage the complications of different substance and drug abuse; (iv) How to rehabilitate the substance and drug abuse patient; and (v) The different ways to prevent our young people from substance and drug abuse and to organise nine bi-monthly webinars focusing on the above topics in more depth.

This project aims at strengthening anti-drug attitude of young arrestees/ offenders and their peers by offering support and providing preventive education for high risk individuals and young drug dependent persons. Project elements include anti-drug talks for tertiary students, young adults outside school network and non-Chinese speaking persons, anti-drug workshops for young arrestees, young offenders and their peers and WDEP (Want, Direction, Evaluation and Planning) counselling and therapeutic sessions for drug dependent young arrestees, young offenders and their peers .

Project MAP II – Meaning-Centered Approach Drug Education and Counselling Program

This project aims at adopting the “Meaning-Centered Approach (MCA)” for early identification and intervention for high-risk youths and hidden drug abusers. Project elements include MCA assessments/workshops for general youths, high risk youths, young people with potential mental health problems, drug abusers and drug rehabilitees, professional training workshops for social workers, project-end experience sharing session for social workers, general public and mass media, VR experiential activities and short videos for general youths, high risk youths, young people with potential mental health problems, drug abusers and drug rehabilitees, in-depth anti-drug prevention groups high risk youths, young people with potential mental health problems and tertiary students, self-value creation activities for drug abusers and drug rehabilitees, counselling services for drug abusers/rehabilitees and their family members, photo voice and art therapy for young people with mental health problem, drug abusers and drug rehabilitees, medical services for drug abusers and drug rehabilitees, fashion design workshops for high risk youths, drug abusers and drug rehabilitees, and meaning of life actualization programme for highly motivated drug abusers/rehabilitees.

This project aims at strengthening awareness of drug harms of cannabis use and ability to resist cannabis through cannabis preventive education and counselling service. Project elements include experience sharing cum professional training for social workers, teachers and other professionals, anti-drug workshops for parents, production of anti-drug videos for young people and parents, community and school-based anti-drug talks or exhibition for primary, secondary and tertiary students and general public, anti-cannabis training for high-risk youths and ex-drug/drug abusing youths, case counselling for ex-drug/drug abusing youths, medical assessment/service for ex-drug/drug abusing youths, anti-cannabis peer KOLs training, big data analytics on drug trend and drug experience activities for general public.

This project aims at identifying hidden drug abusers in the community by peer-led outreaching service. Project elements include sharing seminar with anti-drug sector, music performance for general public to echo the United Nations International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, anti-drug events for prisoners, outreaching service for hidden drug abusers, training and supervision for outreaching team, anti-drug activities for hidden drug abusers and first-aid training for outreaching team.

Operation Dawn Life Education Center: Project V.I.E.W.S

This project aims at enhancing public awareness of drug harms and strengthening aftercare services for rehabilitees. Project elements include day tour with real scene simulation interactive games and testimony sharing from rehabilitated drug abusers, individual job counselling sessions for rehabilitated drug abusers and training workshops for rehabilitated drug abusers.

This project aims at facilitating drug parents’ motivation to quit drugs and enhancing parenting competence so as to achieve the ultimate goal of social reintegration and relapse prevention. Project elements include anti-drug sharing sessions in schools, online dissemination of anti-drug videos for general public, support programme for family members of drug abusers, volunteer services by rehabilitated drug abusers and publication of story books for general public, schools and organisations.

This project aims at providing structured vocational training to residents of Shek Kwu Chau Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre to enhance their employability and facilitate their re-integration into the community. Project elements include career counselling groups, individual employment guidance and job matching, vocational training courses on plumbing and pipefitting, painting and decoration, joinery and mandatory Basic Safety Training (MBST) course for rehabilitees, aftercare counselling and job matching for post-discharged rehabilitees and community service for secondary schools/NGOs.

This project aims at raising the anti-drug awareness among ethnic minority communities and reaching out high-risk ethnic minority individuals and families for early identification and referral of drug abusers. Project elements include anti-drug awareness workshops, professional training and sharing session for community stakeholders including ethnic minority individuals, social workers and frontline workers, guided tours to rehabilitation facilities for community stakeholders including ethnic minority individuals, social workers and medical professionals, physical and online outreaching services for high risk and drug dependent ethnic minority individuals, family-based intervention for family members of drug abusing ethnic minority individuals, drug treatment referral services for drug abusing ethnic minority individuals, vocational training for high-risk or drug dependent ethnic minority individuals and job placement programme for ethnic minority drug rehabilitees.
