Flourishing Life – Drug Prevention in Hostel and Community Service

This project aims at enhancing the awareness of drug harms among high-risk youths living in hostels and strengthening parent-child relationship to reduce the risk of drug abuse. Project elements include community-based anti-drug workshops for general youths and parents, hostel supportive group with resilience enhancement programme and animal-aided therapy treatments for high-risk youths, counselling services for high-risk youths, supportive services for family members of high-risk youths, professional training for hostel personnel and caretakers and parent volunteer groups as supportive network for high risk youths and their parents.
An Integrated Program Led by Nursing Students as Peer Role Models with Robots to Promote Anti-cannabis Messages in Parents and Their Children

This project aims at establishing a community-based network to deliver anti-cannabis messages through nursing students who undergo anti-drug training to become “Anti-Cannabis Nurse Ambassadors” (ACNAs). An anti-drug video competition will be launched and further disseminate anti-cannabis messages to the community. Project elements include training workshops for nursing students to become ACNAs, educational workshops delivered by ACNAs for secondary students and their parents, video competition for secondary students and their parents and video promotions to general public.
TEAM (Teen Edutainment Against Marijuana): Production of Teen-Driven Mini-film Package (Film Plus Full Guide) for Prevention of Marijuana and Cannabidiol Use in Teens

This project aims at strengthening the anti-drug awareness of young people, in relation to marijuana and Cannabidiol (CBD) abuse through the development and dissemination of an application guide and a 30-minute video with narratives from ex-drug abusers, celebrities and healthcare professionals. The video and application guide will be developed by a team consisting of 4 stakeholders, including teens, school personnel, parents and healthcare professionals. Project elements include focus groups by four types of stakeholders for background research before scriptwriting, package development (three 10-minute mini-films and application guide) and production with the application of VR technology, sharing sessions for pilot testing the package, outreaching for promoting the guide and the use of the package and sharing sessions for qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the package in enhancing teen’s motivation to fight against the temptation of marijuana and CBD misuse.

Project elements include anti-drug awareness building workshops cum rehabilitated drug abusers sharing for parents of ethnic minority youths and ethnic minority high risk youths, drug-related legal awareness workshops cum ethnic minority celebrities sharing for ethnic minority youths, visits to Drug InfoCentre (DIC) and Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres (DTRC) for children, youths, high risk youths and parents of ethnic minority origin, anti-drug movie production workshops, sports and art-based activities and anti-drug drama groups for children, youths and high risk youths of ethnic minority origin, outreaching services for children, youths, high risk youths and parents of ethnic minority origin, youth volunteering services and anti-drug ambassador training scheme for children and youths of ethnic minority origin, mutual support groups for working youths of ethnic minority origin and anti-drug adventure camps for youths and high risk youths of ethnic minority origin.

Project elements include anti-drug business development workshop for employers, anti-drug workshops for young working adults and distribution of publicity materials to spread anti-cannabis messages for general public.
“Drugless Metaverse” Beat Drugs Filmmaking Competition

This project aims at providing anti-drug (including visiting Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres (DTRCs) and sharing by rehabilitated drug abusers) and movie production trainings to young film makers to mobilise them to produce films for showing in cinemas that can raise general public’s awareness about drug harms. Project elements include 1-min anti-drug micro-film competition, anti-drug training with professional training on creative film making and “Metaverse” for young film makers, visits to Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres (DTRCs) with sharing by rehabilitated drug abusers, cinema sharing and online shows of the final (100-minute) movie, final movie show with “Metaverse” element and presentation ceremony in shopping centres and roving movie shows in schools.

This project aims at strengthening the awareness of secondary and tertiary students on the legal consequences of drug-related crimes, particularly in relation to Cannabidiol (CBD), which is currently listed by the government as a dangerous drug. Project elements include school talks on anti-drug legal knowledge, visits to Disciplinary Forces, visits to Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre (DIC) and drug addiction treatment centres, Teen Talk Elite mentorship programme, full-day interactive activity-based event interspersed with elements of legal knowledge and winter camps on Disciplinary Forces campsites.
New Track of Rhythmic Art - Youth Positive Development Project

This project aims at raising the anti-drug awareness of secondary students, general youths and high-risk youths through art training workshops and art show. Project elements include healthy life sharing sessions for secondary and tertiary students, basic art training workshops and anti-drug groups for high-risk youths, production of anti-drug short videos for grantee’s website and roving shows at schools and in the community.
