This project aims at establishing a comprehensive and customised aftercare service for rehabilitated drug abusers who have completed drug rehabilitation programme through post-discharge community support, career planning, medical services and family support work. Project elements include anti-drug education workshops and project end sharing meeting for general public, pre-discharge preparatory groups and case counselling, motivational enhancement case work counselling, relapse prevention counselling service, and medical consultation services for rehabilitated drug abusers, interactive activities for rehabilitated drug abusers and family members, counselling services and anti-drug support group for family members of rehabilitated drug abusers, self-management workshops, interest classes, career planning, vocational training and vocational counselling with subsidy for rehabilitated drug abusers.

Mindfulness Training 2.0

This project aims at providing mindfulness-based treatment and vocational training courses to female drug rehabilitees of Adult Female Rehabilitation Centre, as well as enhancing their sense of self-efficacy to avoid relapse and facilitating them to reintegrate into the society. Project elements include school talks for secondary students and training workshops for anti-drug workers, mental and physical health talks, yoga training cum health talk program, relapse prevention counselling, mindfulness-based training course for drug rehabilitees, counselling for drug abusers/rehabilitees working at nightclubs, counselling service for family members of drug abusers, pre-employment workshops and vocational training courses, life skills trainings, peer vocational experience sharing, motherhood parenting skills trainings, escort services to hospitals, counselling and after-care service for drug rehabilitees/rehabilitated drug abusers, volunteer service in elderly or child care centres and experience sharing by drug rehabilitees; and mutual support groups organised by drug abusers/rehabilitees and family gathering for drug abusers with children.

“Work & Life Balance” – Enhancement, Enlightenment, Enrichment and Empowerment for Inpatient and Aftercare Support to Drug Rehabilitees

This project aims at providing aftercare services for rehabilitated drug abusers discharged from Shek Kwu Chau Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre and enhancing their ability to prevent relapse and promote their social reintegration and culture communion. Project elements include individual and group counselling, medical and dental treatment and referral services, volunteer services and vocational training programmes, occupational assessments, occupational talks, internship scheme, various interest classes, outdoor recreational activities for drug rehabilitees, setting up a multicultural music band for local and non-Chinese rehabilitees for music performance to general public, home visits to rehabilitees and their family members and mutual support groups for family members of drug rehabilitees.

Project Meta - an Online and Offline Support Project for Young People with Hidden Drug Abuse Problems

This project aims at addressing the issue of hidden drug abuse in Hong Kong by engaging young hidden drug abusers and providing timely intervention to them and enhancing public awareness about drug abuse problems. Project elements include metacognitive therapy application skill workshops for social workers and other professionals, production of multi-disciplinary anti-drug short videos for general public, online multi-platform outreaching service for high-risk youths and hidden young drug abusers, physical outreach for high-risk youths, hidden young drug abusers, rehabilitated young drug abusers and their family members, metacognitive therapy individual counselling for young drug abusers and rehabilitated young drug abusers and their family members, anti-drug ambassador trainings for tertiary students, anti-drug stage performances by high-risk youths, young drug abusers and rehabilitated young drug abusers for general public, production of metacognitive therapy counselling e-copy manual and artificial intelligence big data analysis of drug problems in Hong Kong.

Project Shield - a Counselling and Treatment Program for Young People with Drug-related Criminal Offences

This project aims at addressing the issue of drug offences committed by young people in Hong Kong by providing early crisis intervention and counselling services to young people aged 10 to 35 and enhancing awareness among young people and general public of the seriousness of drug-related crimes. Project elements include drug-related crime prevention workshops for secondary and tertiary students, parents and general public, production of anti-drug short videos for general public, physical outreach and professional counselling for young people and their family members, mobile anti-drug education game stations for young people, parents and general public, voluntary services by young people, anti-drug ambassador training, vocational support and life skill development, and entrepreneur mentorship programme for young people, mutual support ambassador training for family members of young people, design and production of an online counselling manual based on “Desistance from Crime Model” and artificial intelligence big data analysis of drug crimes in Hong Kong.

This project aims at providing tailor-made vocational training courses to high-risk youths and rehabilitated drug abusers in a multi-purpose residential care home. Project elements include providing training courses on generic subjects (including Chinese, Putonghua, English communications, Information Technology and soft skills) for high-risk youths and drug rehabilitees.

EM Elite Programme

This project aims at providing rehabilitation services for drug abusers of South Asian origin. Project elements include job skills and vocational training courses (e.g. language training, home maintenance, painting and carpentry and cooking courses), outward bound trainings and musical instrument trainings for South Asian drug abusers in the drug treatment and rehabilitation centre operated by the grantee.

New Life, New Direction

This project aims at enhancing drug rehabilitees’ employment readiness, their motivation to quit drugs and their abilities to avoid relapse through a series of support service and vocational trainings. Project elements include individual counselling and life rebuilding groups for drug rehabilitees, psychological support sessions for rehabilitated drug abusers or co-workers who are reformed drug abusers, counselling and outings for family members of drug rehabilitees, vocational training courses, including home repair course, lifesaving course, swimming course, First Aid course, stand up paddling course and hair styling course, workplace training for rehabilitated drug abusers or co-workers who are reformed drug abusers, aftercare groups and aftercare group outings for rehabilitated drug abusers and their family members, war game activities and outward bound adventure for drug rehabilitees.

National Symposium on Drug Abuse Prevention and Control 2025

The project aims at organising a symposium with guided visits for government officials, scholars, medical staff, researchers and anti-drug representatives from the Mainland, Macau and Hong Kong. Project elements include organising a 2-day symposium with twelve reporting sessions for representatives from the Mainland, Macau and Hong Kong and guided visits to local drug treatment services.

The Path to Reconciliation II --Peer Development, Family Mediation and Hidden Drug Abuser Supporting Scheme

This project aims at motivating drug abusers to quit drugs and strengthen drug rehabilitees to avoid relapse through outreaching services, peer support services, growth-perspective counselling, therapeutic groups and other programmes. Project elements include 6-session capacity building training for frontline anti-drug personnel, rehabilitee’s sharing cum graduation ceremony for anti-drug workers and related professionals, mentors, drug rehabilitees and general public, peer counsellor certificate course, training courses on sports outreaching for drug rehabilitees, online support, follow-up service and home visits for drug abusers and their family members, individual counselling and family counselling for hidden drug abusers, drug rehabilitees and their family members, mindfulness-based self-caring therapeutic groups for family members of drug abusers/rehabilitees, relapse preventive mindfulness groups for drug rehabilitees, acceptance and commitment therapeutic parallel groups for drug rehabilitees and their family members, Chinese medicine consultation session and family member mutual support therapeutic groups for hidden drug abusers and their family members, peer support and therapeutic groups and peer counsellor outreaching and community service groups for drug rehabilitees, and family relations enhancement activities for hidden drug abusers, drug rehabilitees and their family members.
