To fund a pilot scheme on setting up a mobile outreaching team to provide comprehensive and structural assessment, treatment and counselling programmes to drug dependent patients. The aim is to integrate medical treatment and drug rehabilitation for hospitalised drug dependent patients. Services include drug detoxification and rehabilitation, psychosocial and family care.

Save Your Child - Beat Drugs Ambassador District Participation Scheme

Project Approved in 1997

To heighten the awareness of parents, adolescents and professionals on drug abuse problem. Training workshops are organized for the Beat Drugs Ambassadors who then assist to implement a series of drug education activities including study group, Q&A competition, video shows etc. A hotline is set up to provide counselling services to the drug abusers and their families.

Anti-drug Task Force- Community Education Programme

To educate the youth about the adverse effects of drug abuse and to arouse the awareness of local residents about drug problem by organizing a series of activities such as anti-drug workshops, roving exhibitions, slogan and Q & A competition etc.

Anti-drug Education Camp

To organize an anti-drug education camp for the most vulnerable youths. The camp aims to make use of the healthy outdoor activities as an education media to disseminate anti-drug message.

Care for the Youth Campaign - A Wonderful Journey to Beat Drugs

To disseminate anti-drug messages among youths and to assist them to develop a positive attitude towards life. A series of activities are held including the issue of anti-drug booklets and special feature in Breakthrough's Junior Magazine about the soft drug problem, creative carnival, exhibitions, Beat Drugs Ambassador training programme etc.
