Let Mothers Understand the Harmful Effects of Kids' Drugs Taking

To provide drug education training for 80 mothers of Shatin District. Activities include talks and training workshops, parental-care family camp, production of anti-drug booklets, carnival, sharing session, visits to drug detoxification centre, etc.

Know Drugs, No Drugs

Project Approved in 1999

A survey will be conducted to find out student's knowledge on drug abuse. Then tailor-,made activities including production of an anti-drug drama, exhibition, and anti-drug games will be organized to rectify students' wrong perception on drugs.

Drug Education Consultant for Teachers

To employ a drug education consultant to deliver 130 courses (6 hours each) of initial training to student teachers enrolled in various tertiary institutes. A teacher training package and a quarterly newsletter will be produced to promote drug education

Against Drug Abuse - Adventure Journey

Targeted at 40 students with low academic achievement and self-esteem in the school. Activities include training workshops, visits to treatment centres adventured journey, group sharing , and production of an anti-drug feature.

Say No to Drugs - Drama Competition and Carnival

To organize a series of drama workshops , drama contest and drama roving performance for the youth of Tues Mun District. Other activities include talks, case studies and visits to drug detoxification centres.

Seminar for Doctors to Help Beat Drugs

To hold a one-day seminar to promote the awareness of the drug abuse promote the awareness of the drug abuse problem amongst doctors in primary health care.

A New Life for Young Ex-Offenders and Ex-Drug Abusers

Project Approved in 1999

A one-day conference exchange of professional experience in helping ex-offenders and drug abusers. Participants will include scholars, officials of correctional and rehabilitation institutions, and social workers from Hong Kong, Macau and China.

Conference for Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Service Providers

A one-and-a-half-day conference to promote exchange and sharing of knowledge and information, and to enhance among the service providers of various drug treatment and rehabilitation agencies.

Activities include an anti-drug exhibition, Q and A games, drama workshops, carnival, visits to drug detoxification centres, and drug detoxification experiential camp targeted at general youths of Shatin District.
